07 Apr CEV Snow Volleyball European Tour 2023 Results & Media
The CEV Snow Volleyball European Tour stop in Wagrain-Kleinarl in the ski resort „Snow Space Salzburg“ this year again offered top level sports and a spectacular show program. Also for next year the organizers hope for hot matches on cold ground at the mountain station Flying Mozart.
The fact that two red-white-red teams, Xandi Huber/Felix Friedl/Moritz Nedetzky/Timo Hammarberg and Moritz Kindl/Mathias Seiser/Florian Schnetzer, faced each other in the men’s final rounded off the 2023 tournament perfectly. The top location at 1,850 meters directly on the slopes has been attracting volleyball and winter sports fans alike since the premiere event in 2009. This year, too, the atmosphere was magnificent. Even the changeable weather on the last weekend in March could not dampen the atmosphere. The numerous spectators not only experienced pure action on the courts with free admission, but also the supporting program amazed the audience. On the final day, for example, the „Flying Bulls“ presented a spectacular parachute jump and helicopter show above the courts.
„A mega event, just super cool. We are looking forward to coming again,“ said the freshly crowned tournament winner Felix Friedl enthusiastically. Of course, Martin Kaswurm from organizer Chaka2 heard that with pleasure. „We are of course very pleased that over 40 teams from 16 nations have made the European Tour stop in Wagrain-Kleinarl the best snow volleyball tournament in 2023. The positive feedback of the athletes and spectators motivates us even more. We hope to be able to put on a top event here again next year. A big thank you to our loyal partners Snow Space Salzburg, Wagrain-Kleinarl, Wirtschaftskammer Salzburg, Raiffeisen, Wagrain-Bau and Red Bull, Kuhstall Wagrain, Schaidreiter Versicherung, Brau Union, Wagrainerhof, X Zone as well as Kronehit, without whom this event would never be possible“, explains Kaswurm.
